Handspun Skein Competitions

Entry Fees $1.50 per skein

Awards 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each category
Best of Show

Skeins must be 100% Natural Fiber spun since NCFF 2007

Categories

1. 100% Wool
2. Wool Bends (at least 50% wool)
3. Novelty/Designer Yarns
4. Angora & Angora Blends
5. Llama/Alpaca & Llama/Alpaca Blends
6. Mohair & Mohair Blends
7. Plant Dyed Yarns
8. Chemically Dyed Yarns
9. Other Fiber (hemp, tensel, cotton, etc.)

Junior entrants will be separated out in each category.  Junior is defined as made by a child age 12 or younger.

Prizes for the Fiber Arts Competition vary from year to year based on the donations received.

A fiber artist may show, but not receive, the Kay Cheever Award of Excellence two consecutive years.
